Kathy Wilson M.D.

It has always been my goal to take care of women and their complex nature. The female reproductive system has always fascinated and intrigued me. As a young child, I would marvel at the thought of “from one then there was two." It was so fascinating and unique that I knew I wanted to be a constant in that process.

At the age of 12, I remember my first volunteer job at a local hospital where I was in sheer astonishment over the babies in the nurseries and how small but perfect they were. To this day, I find the entire process of pregnancy and childbirth to be one of the most beautiful processes and moments anyone can experience. I love sharing in the moment with my patients, bonding and guiding them along their path to parenthood, then later taking care of all their gynecological needs and concerns. The bond that is formed between me and my patients is not only fulfilling but a humbling experience. Because Ob/GYN is multifaceted, it is an ever-evolving specialty with very unique opportunities to be a positive influence in women’s lives. Being a woman and mother also affords me an opportunity to not only understand women’s issues, but be integral in finding solutions to their health care concerns. I find myself learning each and every day from my patients. Every woman brings a different perspective to life, allowing me to continue engaging in their lives while having an opportunity to educate, counsel, encourage and help them maintain optimal health and disease prevention. I am a strong health care advocate for women and find every encounter with a patient personally fulfilling and special. I love getting to know each and every patient on a personal level and am uniquely poised at working with them to resolve their health concerns. It is my mission to be the best physician I can possibly be for my patients, provide the highest quality, compassionate care and empower my patients to take control of their health and well-being. I am married and am a mother of two young children with a lot of “baby” experience myself. I love to travel and learn about new cultures. I am also very passionate about the outdoors and love to spend time outdoors with my family hiking, biking, snorkeling and kayaking.
